Seeing Ghosts

JamesGarciaJr_SeeingGhostsPaul Herrera finds himself bequeathed a mysterious old house near the California central coast by a deceased aunt he never knew. The woman who shows it to him is the spitting image of his wife, taken from him three years before in a senseless car accident which also took his unborn son. While he deals with the ghosts of a past he cannot let go, there are new ghosts Paul must deal with – alone for the week in the expansive two-story house that he will soon discover holds many secrets. Eventually, he will see that he is surrounded by ghosts as he struggles to hold onto the only thing that he has left in this world – his sanity.

Flash Point

JamesGarciaJr_FlashPointFive years after the death of their only child Tiffany, Steve and Angie Rosen receive an unexpected guest to their Morro Bay, California home: their daughter. She comes with a tale of having suffered a terrible head wound in the fire that took their Kingsburg home, causing her loss of memory and migraine headaches that force her to hide from daylight in order to prevent.

Tiffany’s reemergence is treated like Manna from Heaven; however, her story is only half true. Tiffany is a vampire and their daughter in name only. She sleeps during the day and hunts for human blood during the night, and has come back to enact a twisted revenge upon those who ruined the plans of her master, the notorious vampire, Vincent. And she is not alone.

Five years after the terrible events that reshaped the Swedish Village, Kingsburg lies unsuspecting as five vampires descend upon her with a great evil in their black hearts.

Five years after old wounds have finally healed and the old fires were thought extinguished, Police Chief Michael Lopez and Officer Mark Jackson and their families find themselves surrounded when fires blaze anew. The good vampire, Nathaniel, has pledged his service to these people, but he is no longer among them. He lives high in the Oregon Mountains near the California border, seeking whether God might have a place in His kingdom yet for him.

When Nathaniel discovers that Tiffany has returned, will he be too late to stop her? And will his desire to protect his friends destroy what God has begun in him?

It will all begin with a Flash Point.

  1. afstewart says:

Gorgeous covers, and the books sound great too.

  2. Sounds good. I love ghost stories and that is a beautiful cover!

  3. Thank you so very much for including me with all the fantastic things you do here, Nina. I really don’t know how you do it all, especially this time of year. One of the reasons why I love this time of year is because our paths end up crossing so much. Take care and enjoy the hop!
    We’ll talk soon…

    • My absolute pleasure, Jimmy! I think I just click over into non-human Coffin Hop mode (and apparently go brain dead as far as opening the windows goes – ahem). Seeing Ghosts has me very intrigued, it’s on my ‘must read’ list sometime before 2020! lol

Catch ya around the hop! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. maryrajotte says:

Now this is what community is all about! Awesome that you’re featuring so many authors!

    • Thank you! So many authors, so little time to read… and only one set of eyeballs – that just seems unfair! I’m happy to help put the talent of these, and any other hard working author in front of as many of those eyes (or ears on audio) as possible! Thanks for hopping by, Mary!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. Huge fan of Jimmy’s! Thank you for featuring him ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Joseph Pinto says:

Striking cover art! Jimmy has always been a wonderful supporter of writers on social media; now I need to find some time to read his work! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you for your kind words, Joseph – and please forgive the late reply. I was swamped yesterday… We are all juggling way too much. I want to read everybody’s books, visit all of their sites, and attend every event. But I know we just can’t do it all. On the other hand this is a fabulous community to belong to. No matter how many books I sell in this life, I am blessed by the writer friends I have made. We are the only ones that understand us! Friends and family don’t get it. Without my writer-friends celebrating my successes and shouldering my burdens, I would have given this up long ago.
      Cheers, everyone!

      -Jimmy

  8. Jimmy, I still say “Seeing Ghosts” has one of the most gorgeous covers. It is on my to-read-with-haste list.
    Fantastic share, Nina!
    Happy CoffinHopping! ๐Ÿ™‚
    – Kim

    • Thank you, Kim. You have just made my day. *raises LandShark beer high* My dear friend/author/cover artist Maria Zaninni has done all of my covers. When she read the blurb for Seeing Ghosts she told me she had been saving the girl for herself, but knew it would be perfect for the book – so she gave her to me. So awesome! I can’t thank her enough… ๐Ÿ™‚
